Why is Prenatal Yoga Training Important?
It is very common for expectant Mums to attend general yoga classes, seeking physical relief and mental calm during a time of great physical transition. As a yoga teacher, encountering pregnant students in your regular classes can be daunting if you don’t know how to adapt the practice safely. This training takes away the guesswork. By understanding the specific anatomical changes, contraindications, and appropriate modifications for each trimester, you will build absolute confidence in your teaching. You will know exactly how to support their changing bodies and ensure they feel safe, held, and empowered on the mat.
Why Join This Course?
This comprehensive training is a transformative journey of compassion, mindfulness, and empowerment. It goes far beyond simply avoiding certain poses; it teaches you how to actively nurture the well-being of expectant Mums. You will dive deeply into trimester-specific anatomy, explore how the body and baby grow, and learn to use props creatively to provide maximum support. Through practical teaching exercises and sequence building, you will gain the practical tools necessary to guide women safely through the beautiful, yet demanding, phases of pregnancy.
Who is This Course For?
This course is designed for qualified yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners who want to expand their knowledge and understanding. Whether your goal is to launch dedicated pregnancy yoga classes or simply to feel fully equipped and confident when a pregnant student walks into your general class, this training will provide the fundamental knowledge you need.
What Will I Be Qualified to Teach?
Upon successful completion of this Yoga Alliance accredited CPD course, you will be fully certified to:
- Design and lead dedicated, safe, and mindful Prenatal Yoga classes and workshops.
- Confidently modify and adapt your general public classes to accommodate pregnant students at any stage of their pregnancy.
- Guide pregnant women through safe, grounding pranayama and meditation practices tailored to their specific needs.
Final Thoughts
You will be supported throughout every step of your learning journey. I will give constructive feedback, practical mentorship, and provide a warm, inclusive space to explore, practise, and refine your unique teaching voice alongside a community of like-minded individuals.

Yes! While the course equips you with the skills to teach, many expectant mothers and yoga practitioners join purely to deepen their understanding of the pregnant body, learn how to adapt postures safely for themselves, and build a supportive, nourishing practice for their own pregnancy journey and well-being.
The core training is delivered fully in-person. However, to help integrate your learning and fulfill your non-contact hours, you will be asked to create class sequences and complete a written test in your own time. Once complete, you will email your assignments for marking before receiving your certificate.
